We’re looking forward to squeezing as much time visiting, having fun and celebrating with all of you on our wedding weekend as possible. So for those of you able to spend any time the evening before or the day after with us, we’d love to have your company!
On Friday night, there will be a private, cash bar at the Inn at Montross (21 Polk St., Montross, VA) starting at 9:00 PM. The Inn is a charming historic establishment right in downtown Montross and they’ve let us have the attached pub for as long as we’d like that evening (or at least until Virginia law requires they close it down at 2:00 AM). We’ll head over after dinner at 9:00 (the groom for certain, and possibly the bride) so join us for some pre-wedding fun.
Though our bagels and coffee plan at Westmoreland feel through due to the hurricane, we've been able to secure a hurricane-free small deck where this marvelous bagel-eating and coffee-drinking can take place ... at Stratford Hall where some guests are staying, very close to the Anderson home. The deck is not a big space, could be a tiny bit tight, but hey we all like each other. It's also connected to the cozy common room at Cheek with couches and plenty of space to mill about in case the weather is gloomy. We'll have coffee, bagels and fruit available. Feel free to straggle in and out if and whenever you'd like, from 9am to noon, to visit and linger and snack. Just ask at the gate where to find Cheek House - tell them you're there for the wedding breakfast - and they'll let you in for free (usually there's a fee to get on the grounds). Pajamas are optional. Footy pajamas even better. Thanks for your patience everyone!! Can't wait to see you this weekend!
