Well, we have lost our lodging at Westmoreland Park due to hurricane damage! We've sent an email with alternative accommodation options to everyone we suspected might be staying at the park, but just in case...if you were staying at Westmoreland and have not received a handy list of alternatives, please email Jodi at jodilynna@gmail.com and she'll send you one. So sorry for the inconvenience everyone! Extra cake for you! And then, dance off!!
FYI, last we checked, there were still limited rooms/cabins available at Stratford Hall - here's their web site again: http://www.stratfordhall.org/. Feel free to contact us with questions.

NEED A RIDE?
Winston's attire tips
Winston, faithful guardian of the Andersons, recommends your favorite fancy picnic attire or dressy casual. What's "dressy casual," you ask? Emily Post is here to help. We'd even love to see your best seersucker if you have it! (Winston picked out these bows himself)

Giving to either of these organizations would be a wonderful gift!
We have received a full cupboard of Julie Covington's pottery. Thank you! We are leaving her contact info up here just in case anyone decided they wanted to order some pretty things for themselves: Julie's web site is here or you can email her directly at covingtonpottery@gmail.com.
Area Attractions
Montross is tucked away in the “Northern Neck” of Virginia, that finger of land between the Potomac River to the north and the Rappahannock River to the south which extends out into the Chesapeake Bay. As you’ll soon find out, it’s a picturesque area rich in history and with plenty of things to see and do. Two of Virginia’s most famous sons were born just a few miles from Montross. George Washington’s birthplace is now a national park just a few miles outside of town and close to the cabins at Westmoreland. Stratford Hall, the birthplace of Robert E. Lee and his family’s ancestral home, is just a few miles away from the Andersons' and open for tours. But history aside, there is plenty of fun to be had as well. From local wineries (area favorites are Belle Mount for it’s fun California transplant owners and Ingleside for its beautiful grounds), crabbing and fishing, taking a cruise out to Tangier Island or down the Rappahannock, or kayaking and canoeing at Belle Island State Park, there is plenty of stuff to do if you’re interested. This Northern Neck Tourism Commission’s great website has all the info you’ll need.
